Vanessa Blanchette

Vanessa grew up in southern California with her grandparents before she moved to the wonderful state of New Mexico, which she now calls home. Having grown up with her grandparents who had plenty of health issues, she had always been interested in the holistic medical field and always wanted to do what she could help people who were going through the same things as her grandparents. Medical marijuana had passed in the State of California which made her begin to look into the cannabis program and its' benefits.

Vanessa joined the cannabis field when she was 18 years old and eager to learn and share knowledge. Three years ago, Vanessa ventured out with Marissa to make their vision a success. She loves helping people live their best lives and is excited to see what the future will bring with more possibilities of holistic medicine.

While not working she enjoys having a relaxing smoke herself with friends. She is a die hard 49ers fan who loves spending time with family and friends with good food and an IPA.

Marissa Ramirez

If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would co-own a business in the cannabis industry I would have laughed in disbelief. I couldn't have dreamed that NM would have a cannabis industry! Now, I couldn't have imagined it any other way.

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from UNM with honors and acknowledged as an outstanding student in my program. I had every intention of continuing on to get a PhD in Physical Therapy but found myself working in the cannabis cards industry before applying to grad school for a second time and completely fell in love.

My longtime experience in traditional and alternative care settings during my undergrad developed into a passion for helping patients find that total health consists of so much more than prescriptions, referrals, and getting lost in the system.

When I'm not busy running Homegrown with Vanessa, you can find me curled up with my dogs and cats on my couch or lost in nature somewhere.

Medical cannabis is able to fill in the missing pieces of the homeostasis puzzle when the body fails to regulate its' own endocannabinoid production. Cannabis is hugely beneficial when used for medical purposes."
