License to Grow

As an active medical cannabis cardholder in New Mexico, you are allowed to grow your own plants as long as you fill out a Personal Production Application and submit it to the Department of Health. Once approved, this allows patients to have 16 plants total (4 mature, 12 seedlings).

Requirements

  • You must be a current medical cannabis cardholder in NM OR your application to be a cardholder has been submitted to the Dept of Health for approval.

  • You must own your own property or have permission from the person who does own the property you live on to grow there.

  • All instructions are clearly outlined on the application. 

  • Be as detailed as possible when filling out the application.

➺ Glaucoma

➺ Hepatitis C currently receiving treatment

➺ HIV/AIDS

➺ Huntington's diseaseHospice care

➺ Inclusion body myositis

➺ Inflammatory autoimmune-mediated arthritis (RA)

➺ Intractable nausea/vomiting

➺ Multiple sclerosis (MS)

➺ Damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with proof of intractable spasticity

➺ Obstructive sleep apnea

➺ Painful peripheral neuropathy

➺ Parkinson's disease

➺ Post-traumatic stress disorder
